Colour: Green, yellow face, green and black wings. Many other colour varations exist in captivity (Blue pictured)

Lifespan: 7 to 9 years

Sexing: Dimorphic. The male has blue band on top of its beak.

Distribution: Inland Australia.

Habitat: Dry arid areas.

Threats: Secure in wild & common in captivity

Commonly refered to as Budgie.
